چکیده

The location of Iran in a region, which is the connecting link between the west and the east and the trading of products of these two parts of the world has been done in it, has brought up privileged conditions for the merchants and traders. Bazaar is one of the main parts of Iranian cities and is considered the spinal core of them. Besides economic role, Iranian bazaar has had the importance of cultural interactions between the western and eastern nations and has always been considered one of the main arenas of common interaction in the civic life throughout the history. Bazaar has always had a considerable effect from various views on the city and people’s lives, and this issue is a subject for study and contemplation from various aspects. Their skeletal and architectural features have made them into a world of activities, social interactions and urban events, and one can claim that bazaar has had a determining and effective role on the expansion and growth of Iranian cities.This is an applied research paper. The methods of study are filed method, library survey and descriptive-analytical. Throughout this study, we deal with the concept of growth and we answer the question that regarding the importance of bazaar in the city and people’s lives and even the surrounding villages, what has been the role of bazaar in the growth of cities and how it has operated its role in various aspects of city’s and even nation’s life.
