چکیده مقاله:

Irisin is a cytokine secreted while muscle activity and can have different effects on different tissues of the body. Considering that one of Irisin’s most important role is the metabolic control. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of 12 hours fasting on the levels of physical activity serum Irisin. For this purpose, 8 men with ages in the range [25.75±1.75 Year] and body fat percentage in the range [15.4±7.7] were selected randomly from the available population. They did the same resisting exercise(4 sets of 20 repetitions of squat and Langs movements with 30% of 1RM) after intervals longer than 48 hours in two states; one, being fast at the early hours of the day and two; satiated in the middle hours of the day. levels of serum Irisin were measured before and immediately after the exercise activity using 3 cc blood taken from the Brachial vein by ELISA method in both satiety and fasting.Independant and dependant t-tests were used to determine the among and between groups differences, respectively in SPSS software, version 22. Results showed that no significant changes in the levels were observed after the exercise in tow modes (p ≤ 0.05). Consequently it seems that exercising in fasting state isn’t effective on the levels of serum Irisin.
