The Study of Parent-Child Conflict among Adolescents with and without Dependency on Mobile Phone (a case study: High school students in Zabol)

The present study aimed at comparing the parent-child conflict among Adolescents with and without dependency on mobile phone. It is a descriptive-applied research. A number of 200 (100 students and 100 parents) were selected using simple random sampling. The instruments of the study include the questionnaire of the conflict with parents (CT) developed by Fine, G. Morland & Andrew Schobel (1983) and the questionnaire of addiction to mobile phone developed by Kouhi (2009). To analyze the data independent sample t- test and regression were run. The results of the independent sample t- test showed that there is a significant difference between parent-child relationship among adolescents with and without mobile phone. The result for the step by step regression showed that in studying the prediction power of differentdimensions of parent-child relationship in dependency on mobile phone, positive feelings had the most prediction. This single variable could predict 95 percent of variations in dependency on mobile phone.
