چکیده مقاله:

better self-care has been shown to be related to improved self-reported health status, increased quality of life (QOL), fewer hospitalizations, and decreased mortality. Although treatment nonadherence is a widely recognized problem, many current approaches to nonadherence are based on educating patients about their disease and its treatment rather than using researchbased psychological counseling methods to change patient behavior.Research demonstrates that knowledge about treatment is not strongly correlated with adherence to treatment recommendations, especially among older adults. Motivational interviewing proposes counseling to promote movement in the stages of change. This method is widely used in the medical field for pain management, diabetes, weight control, and HIV prevention Objective: In this study The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of online motivational interview on self-care and adherence of treatment and medication behaviors. Methods: We systematically searched PubMed, Scopus, Web of science core collection, and PsychInfo for studies published by december25,2018 and to English papers only that evaluated the prospective relationship between online motivational interview and self-care and adherence of treatment and medication behaviors. Result : 22 studies were included from an initial identification of 751 papers. Conclusions: The results of this study emphasize the effectiveness of online motivational interviewing on self-care and adherence behavior. Considering the numerous problems in chronic diseases and the importance of controlling and treating the disease, the use of high-quality individual techniques in chronic patients such as motivational interviewing can significantly reduce the economic and sanitary burden of diseases in long term.
