Automated Manufacturing Systems Flexibility Control

In this research, a study of automated manufacturing system flexibility concepts is provided. Nowadays Companies have a great challenge to serve the products as market and customers need. So, flexibility is one of the important ability to transfer and fabricate new products as the customer’s order. This article investigation is related to the automatic production flow line that contains both material handling and workstations set automatically to transfer or produce the goods and final products. The main goal of this paper is flexibility control on automated manufacturing systems and consider the production cost control, quick responsibility to market, production rate growth and WIP reduction. Other influential factors for manufacturing systems such as total manufacturing time, cycle time, capacity, production rate, utilization, etc. on manufacturing systems are investigated too. Discrete event simulation (DES) and its related applications is another concept sought about automated manufacturing systems
