خلاصه مقاله:
Introduction & Aim:Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers in the world. GATA3 is the most abundant transplantation factor in breast epithelium cells. This gene is located on the chromosome 10 and is responsible for the development and haemostasis of mammary glands and malignant tumors. This study evaluates the repeat length of the CA intron 1 of the GATA3 gene with the incidence of breast cancer. Materials and Method: This is a case-control study that included 150 women with breast cancer from West Azarbaijan province and 100 healthy controls as control group. DNA extraction was carried out using saline ethanol deposition method, and for propagation of the desired sequence from PCR was used to determine the number of repetitions of CA and its sequence by electrophoresis on a polyacrylamide gel with a specific marker. Finally, the data were analyzed using vSPSS v.24 and t-test. Results: The highest frequency in both groups was related to 13 alleles. There was an increased risk of breast cancer among women with an allele of less than 13 CA repeats. (OR = 2.7-CL 95% = 1.17 - 12.07) (P = 0.002) The highest risk for carriers for carriers smaller than 10 mm was 3.72 (OR = 2.8-CL 95% = 1.24-11.8) (P = 0.005 Four different lengths of repeat CA were observed between 10 and 14 and 6 different genotypic traits in patients. Conclusion: Based on the results, there is a significant correlation between the incidence of breast cancer and the prevalence of preeclampsia among individuals with a recurrence rate of intron 1 of GATA3 gene.
