With respect to limitations of fossil energy resources, different types of electric vehicles (EVs) have been developing as suitable alternatives. Lithium-ion (Liion)battery cells play an extremely prominent role in EVs due to their unique features, but they require battery management systems (BMSs) to maintain their thermal and electrical performance in optimal working range. In the current studythe thermal and electrical behaviour of a li-ion battery cell is experimentally tested, and the amounts of voltage, power, and temperature are carried out in each second. Tests have been done for a 1100 mAh Lithium Ion battery in four different discharge rate including 1C, 1.5C, 2C, and 2.5 C. Experiments show while increasing of the discharge rate would boost the generated power, it would lead to higher final maximum temperature of the battery cell surface
