Clinoptilolite – Iron oxide Magnetic Composites for the Adsorption of Cesium Ion

چکیده
In this work adsorption feature of natural clinoptilolite with magnetic properties of iron oxide have been combined in a composite to produce a magnetic adsorbent. This magnetic composite was used for adsorption of cesium from aqueous solutions and subsequently the composite was removed from the medium by the simple magnetic process. The zeolite - iron oxide composites were characterized by XRD, XRF, TG, DTG and BET surface area analysis. The stability of the composite examined at pH rang of 5-9 showed that the composite was stable at these conditions. The adsorption of cesium from solution onto the composite showed that presence of iron oxide increased the adsorption capacity of composite. The Kd of clinoptilolite and synthetic magnetic composite are obtained as 2.5× 104 ml g-1, 2.7× 104 ml g-1, respectively.کلیدواژه ها
