خلاصه مقاله:
Nursing Occupational Accidents impact on their physical and mental health, in addition to irreparable damage to the health of patients. Many internal and external factors can affect the incidence of occupational accidents. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of mental work load and personal - organizational factors on occupational accidents in nurses. The randomly chosen nurses from four hospitals in Kerman. In this study, demographic, 350 population of the study consisted of organizational data and occupational accidents were collected using a general questionnaire and a researcher-made two-state questionnaire respectively. The mental workload of individuals was collected using the NASA-TLX Index. T-test, ANOVA and Logistic Regression were used for statistical analyzes using SPSS software. In the research population the mean )± standard and 67.17 Mental Demand and Frustration dimensions )with mean score of .14.42 ± 75.64 deviation( of workload score was had the highest and lowest mean respectively. Traumatic low back pain when changing the position or displacement (49.29 were the most common accidents that were most )%62( and Skin contact with blood or other body fluids ,(%64) of patients frequent in nurses. Also, there was a significant correlation between overall workload and investigated accidents in this study, except for drug and chemical splash in the eyes. Nurses experience a high workload that can lead to a variety of occupational accidents. Hospital managers can prevent excessive workload by investigating causes of workload in their hospital environment
