چکیده مقاله:

Worldwide growing demand for portable electronic devices and electric vehicles has motivated the research and development of energy storage devices like supercapacitors [1-2]. Among the various energy storage systems, supercapacitors are important source of energy storage devices and power outputs. Typically, supercapacitor shows reasonable energy with high power density and long cycle life [3]. In this work, ZnFe2O4 nanoparticles have been prepared by sonochemical method. Fe(NO3)3.9H2O and Zn(NO3)2.6H2O were used as reagents and the resulted precursor was calcined in the air. The precursor and resultant product were characterized using thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), fourier transform infrared (FT-IR), Xray powder diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) as well as Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM). Cyclic voltammetric (CV) measurements gave a maximum specific capacitance of 490 F/g at a scan rate of 1 mV/s. For this sample 95% of this specific capacitance was retained after 5000 cycles.
