ERP Strategic formulation using SWOT analysis and Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix

Enterprise Resource Planning is a software-based solution which automates the business operation of organizations. An Enterprise Resource Planning system is an organizational information system designed to integrate and optimize business processes and transactions. Therefore, with the goal of finding the factors having an effect on the successful employment of ERP1 while also taking into consideration the goals and prospects of the company, we have employed SWOT2 analysis, IFE3 and EFE4 matrices and also the QSPM5 matrix. In this article we will analyze the strategy of Datis Emertat, an information technology development and international relations company, which is aimed at the establishment of an integrated ERP system, and we will also go through the opportunities and threats posed by implementing Enterprise Resource Planning systems and also the determining factors in the success or failure of implementing such systems in detail. Considering this article’s goal, with the use of an innovational method employing SWOT matrix, we have succeeded in delivering a strategic plan based on maximum usage of the company’s strengths with a view to overcome the threats that the company is dealing with.
