چکیده

By developing the urban areas, the inclination to the trenchless tunneling is increased. Pipe-jack tunneling is one the methods that is applied in various type of tunnels. However, in order to design and star the execution operation, the simulation of tunneling process is an important subject. Since the soil and rock are heterogeneous and highly anisotropic media, the applied model should consider the internal mechanism of soil in different location and direction. In the present Unified Model (UM) has been developed in order to meet this demand. The model is unified for clay and sand to contemplate the heterogeneous aspect of the media. The present model could consider the inherent and inducedanisotropy in micro structure of the soil. In this matter, 17 planes are adopted in related directions. Moreover, the bounding surface plasticity is also employed in order to precise prediction of cyclic behavior of the soil. Present model an also predict the plane of weakness and fracture direction below the ground with cyclic loading. The result of the model is also verified with the simulation of the laboratory pipe-jacking test. The simulation shows the reasonable agreement with the test data.
