چکیده
Introduction: Nowadays breast cancer is the most important cause of women death worldwide. According the side effects of chemical drug, using natural products and derivatives of medicinal plants can play an important role to cure cancer.The present study Investigation the cytotoxicity effects of Ethanolic Extract of Pistacia atlantica Leaf on breast cancer (4T1). Methods: In order to investigate the effect of Extract of Pistacia atlantica Leaf in breast cancer, 4T1 cells were cultured in the presence of different concentrations of the its (0.156-10.0 mg/ml. and MTT assay, Immunoblotting, and quantitative real-time PCR were used to assess the effect of the extract on cell viability and the expression levels of mRNA and protein of Bax and Bcl-2 genes. P-values of less than 0.05 were considered statistically significantResults: Evaluation of cell survival using the MTT assay showed that Extract of Pistacia atlantica Leaf reduced the viability of 4T1 cells in a time and dose dependent manner. The results of this study showed that extract significantly increased levels of Bax mRNA expression, while the amount of Bcl-2 gene expression was not affected. As expected according to the results of real-time PCR, expression level of Bax protein was also increased significantly, whereas the Bcl-2 protein level was not changed.Conclusion: Present study results showed the Extract of Pistacia atlantica Leaf as a natural herb supplement with low cost and public access, could be effective in breast cancer therapy.کلیدواژه ها
