چکیده مقاله:

IntroductionCesarean section is one of the most commonplace surgeries in gynecology, that is done under spinal anesthesia. In recent years according to hazards of general anesthesia on mothers and their embryos, the best method of anesthetizing the candidates for cesarean section has been spinal anesthesia method. Since this method also has complications such as hypotension, so it must be prevented and cured by effective ways. They are included: liquid therapy, putting patient in suitable position, using pneumatic conveyor device and prescribing drugs such as Ephedrine and Phenylephrine. In this study we checked out the effect of wearing varicose socks, as a non-medical method on the amount of hypotension and prescribed Ephedrine after .spinal anesthesia in candidates for cesarean section Material & MethodsIn this study, during one clinical trial, 80 person of candidates for cesarean section provided that they have the characteristics specified for the samples were entered into the study. Then they have divided accidentally into two 40 people groups of intervention and control . In intervention group, immediately after spinal anesthesia, legs were raised at an angle of approximately 45 degrees and then varicose sucks werecovered from the tip of the fingers up the patient’s knee. In the control group, routine care was performed. The amount of blood pressure was measured just before spinal anesthesia and after it every 5 minutes for 30 minutes and written in checklist. If there was a drop in blood pressure, using the standard protocol, Ephedrine was injected. Recorded data of amount of blood pressure before spinal anesthesia and the 5th, 10th,15th, 20th, 25th, and 30th stages of after that, and the frequency and times of Ephedrine administration in each of the checklists were entered into the SPSS 19 program and analyzed by t-test, Mann-Whitney and .Chi-square testsResultsThere was no significant difference between the two groups in demographic data. Comparing the average blood pressure in different measurements, there was a significant difference between the mean blood pressure in the 5th minute (0.001) and 15 (0.004) after the spinel anesthesia in the two groups. According to the Mann-Whitney test in the intervention group, no ephedrine was received during the first 5 minutes, while .)18 patients in the control group received ephedrine due to hypotension (P <0.05 Conclusion Regarding the effect of using varicose socks on preventing hypotension and ephedrine administration, it is recommended that this non-invasive method be used for all women candidates for cesarean section under .spinal anesthesia
