چکیده

Superparamagnetic Iron Oxide nanoparticles were prepared by coprecipitation method using NaOH as precipitation agent. A mechanical homogenizer was used to stir the solutions in order to produce small particles with narrow size distribution. Magnetic properties of nanoparticles were measured by a VSM. The effect of reaction temperature and concentration of reactants on size and magnetic properties of nanoparticles were investigated. The size of particles was calculated by Sherrer formula and magnetic data and compared with the size of nanoparticles which obtained by TEM. The sizes of produced nanoparticles were between 8 to 11 nm and their saturation magnetization was between 56 and 84 emu/gr. A good increase of saturation magnetization was observed by changing the reaction temperature and precursor concentration, while the size of particles was around 10 nm and did not increase significantly which might be due to the improvement of crystalinity of the nanoparticles.
