چکیده مقاله:

The innate immune system is the only and first line defense of invertebrates and a fundamental defense mechanism of fish. Lysozymes are critical components of the innate immune system against bacterial infection. Due to the less developed specific immune system of fish than that of mammals, lysozyme has devoted considerable attention in fish immunity. Considering their economic importance, fish belonging to the family Acipenseridae have long been of great interest. Persian sturgeon, Acipenser persicus is one of the most commercially important species in the Caspian Sea. In this study, we report the isolation, amplification, and characterization of chicken-type (c-type) lysozyme gene from Acipenser persicus. Total RNA was isolated from the head kidney of the fish using TRIzol and the complementary DNA (cDNA) was synthesized by cDNA synthesis kit. The cDNA was used as the template for the PCR using degenerate primers that annealed to the conserved regions of C-type lysozyme gene from a different genus of fish. Analysis of the amplicon sequence revealed that the cDNA contains an open reading frame (ORF) of 432 bp, encoding a 143 amino acidprotein
