چکیده مقاله:

Bisphenol A (BPA) is an organic synthetic compound belonging to the group of diphenylmethane derivatives used in the plastics industry Also, bisphenol A is one of the endocrine disrupters compounds and Its adverse effects have been proven on various organs of the body. Portulaca oleracea (PO) with a variety of antioxidant and antiinflammatory phytochemicals can modify and improve the toxic effects of bisphenol. In this study, forty two adult male Wistar rats were divided into six groups of 7 rats each: Control group, positive control group receiving bisphenol with dose 500 μg/kg; control group receiving purslane extract with dose 100 mg / kg and three treatment groups received bisphenol and doses of 50, 100 and 150 mg / kg Hydro-alcoholic extract of purslane extract. Injections were performed intraperitoneally for 14 consecutive days. The anxiety test was done by the elevated plus maze on the last day. Data were analyzed by one-way ANOVA with a Tukey followup test. Data analysis suggests modifying anxiety parameters in treatment groups. A significant decrease(P <0.05) in the amount of anxiety in the purslane treatment groups compared with the control and recipient groups of bisphenol A indicates the improvement of the toxic effects of bisphenol by the purslane extract.
