چکیده

In recent years layered double hydroxides (LDHs), also known as hydrotalcite-like materials, have attracted considerable interest from both industry and academia. LDHs have anionic exchange capacity, and the ability to capture organic and inorganic anions makes them almost unique as inorganic materials. The potential applications of these materials , including in ion exchanger , adsorption, pharmaceutics, photochemistry and electrochemistry, these are related to the wide range of possible compositions and versatile preparation methods for LDHs [1]. In this work we describe our attempts to synthesize Mg-Fe-LDH and Cu-Al-LDH were prepared by dropwise addition of a mixed aqueous solutions of Mg(Cl)2,Fe(Cl)3 and Cu(NO3)2,Al(NO3)3 at a constant pH of 9-9/5 followed by subsequent hydrothermal and thermal treatment for 24 h in the mixture of water,1-propanol and surfactant (Ethylene glycol) (volume ratio of 3:3:1).These nanostructured particles are well characterized by infrared spectroscopy, Scanning electron microscope (SEM) and X-ray powder diffraction analysis. SEM images showed that the morphology of Mg- FeLDH and Cu-Al-LDH are plate-like structure. XRD analysis showed the formation of sharper and intense peaks, which might indicate the larger crystallites size of LDHs as well as higher crystallinity. The FTIR spectra of LDHs materials provide many important information, especially about the interlayer anions and hence are very useful to understand the structure of these materials.
