Coating on different substrates to enhance the physical and mechanical properties is one of the interesting topics for researchers. In 2004 new materials with excellent structural properties were proposed. These new materials are called high entropy alloy (HEA) consisting of at least five principal elements. Since 2004 diverse surface treatment methods has been used to prepare high entropy alloy coatings (HEACs) on various substrates. Electro spark deposition (ESD) is technology used for coating HEAs which is based on electric arc and heat and at all is welding in micro scale. In this method, HEA is used in shape of electrode and electric arc pulsed among substrate as cathode and high entropy alloy electrode as an anode. Finally, HEAC is prepared on the substrate as thin layers after micro welding. In coating of Ti6Al4V by HEA, an electrode was prepared by intended elements and used in ESD process. HEA by six principal elements consist of Fe Ni Cr Al Co Mn with equal atomic ratio and high purity were prepared as an electrode with mechanical alloying. This HEA electrode was coated by electro spark deposition (ESD) process in vacuum atmosphere and controlled welding speed and pressure on the 0.1mm Ti6Al4V sheet substrate. Substrate coated samples were analyzed with X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy-dispersive spectrometer (EDS). The result showed that the solid solution HEA with micro/ nano-crystalline coating were composed on the Ti6Al4V substrates.
