چکیده مقاله:

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of annealing temperature on the tool wear of X210Cr12cold work steel. For this purpose, two annealing temperatures of 870 and 920 °C were selected. Laboratory investigations included hardness testing, structural analysis, measurementsof austenite grain size number, and measuring the life of the cutting tools on the samples. The results of this study showed that the life of the cutting tool in the annealing of 920 °C, at cutting speed of 65 (m/min) is 131 min and at cutting speed of 90 (m/min) is 93 minutes and in annealedsample at a temperature of 870 °C at a cutting speed of 65 (m/min) is 111 minutes and at cutting speed of 90 (m/min) is 86 minutes. Therefore, at 920 °C annealing temperature for X210Cr12 steel the tool lifetime has been longer. The reason for this is that by increasing the annealing temperature, more initial carbides are dissolved in the austenite, so the structure is coarse-grained and th hardness has decreased and so themachining properties are more suitable. Also, the results showed that with increasing cutting speed, the life of the toolis reduced.
