Fabrication of PU/PAMPS Hybrid Electrospun Nanofibrous Membrane for Use in Protective Clothing

In this work, three different nanofiber layers were fabricated and examined as windproof and breathable layers. Polyurethane (PU), PAMPS1 and PU/PAMPS hybrid nanofiber layers were produced via electrospinning set up with two opposite nozzle. Some of the samples’ characteristics such as, water vapor permeability (WVP), air permeability and contact angle of water were investigated.Hybrid nanofiber layers showed better performance in windproof and wettability property than PU nanofiber layers. These fabricated hybrid nanofiber layers indicating an appropriate candidate for fabricating of protective clothing and wound dressing
