Aluminum-air batteries produce electricity from the reaction of oxygen with aluminum, aluminum-air batteries have the potential to be used to produce power to operate cars and other vehicles. These batteries might be important an along term interim basis as the world passes through the transition from gasoline cars to hydrogen fuel cell cars .an electric vehicle with aluminum-air battery has the potential for up to eight times the range of a lithium-ion batteries with a significantly lower total weight, this has restricted their use to mainly military applications. This review focus on future of Al/air batteries for replacing with Li-ion batteries in any type of vehicle and this usage for smart cities and military applications.
