Apigenin, a natural phytochemical, belongs to flavonoids which has demonstrated innumerable beneficial health effects. In this study, the effect of Soxhlet, maceration, microwave-assisted and ultrasonic-assisted solvent extractions from parsley (Petroselinum crispum L.) leaves was studied for apigenin isolation. The maximum extraction yield was 1756.36 mg apigenin/100 g parsley which was obtained using Soxhlet method and ethanol as solvent at the particle size of 0.3 mm, at 70°C. Subsequently, ultrasonic, microwave and maceration methods resulted in extraction yields of 266.63, 176.9 and 128.37 mg apigenin/100 g parsley, respectively
