Designing and assessment of a Multiparameteric model for dysphonia severity index for Persian speaking population

چکیده
Purpose: One of the most common multiparametric models is the dysphonia severity index which is a combination of 4 parameters and is related to perceptual voice quality. In the voice evaluation, race, language, structural and physiological features affect the acoustic, aerodynamic and voice range profile measures. The aim of this study was to design and evaluate a multiparametric and objective model for assessing the severity of dysphonia in the Persian speaking population. Methods: The present study was a methological study. The study participants consisted of 300 individuals with different typesof dysphonia (104 women and 196 men) and 100 healthy samples (63women and 37men). Five acoustic parameters, three aerodynamic and seven parameters of the voice range profile were measured for design the model. Logistic regression analysis was used to determine factors affecting dysphonia severity index. Results: Among 15 investigated parameters, shimmer, vital capacity, semitone rang and voice onset time of /pa/ remains in the model with their coefficients. Discriminant analysis showed that this combination corresponds to 47.8 with perceptual assessment. DSI = 0.289(shimmer) +0.0001(VC) –0.059(STR) –13.278(VOT/Pa/) Conclusion: Dysphonia severity index in present study corresponded to the physiological, linguistic and racial characteristics of the Persian language community.کلیدواژه ها
