Background and Aim: Biologically active glasses, including biomaterials,are used in various medical fields. In this study, two types of biologicallyactive hydroxyapatite (basic biomaterials for bone fracture repair) weresynthesized, and to investigate the phase composition of glass-ceramicsand available ion bands found in the composition and morphology ofeach sample were used for Fourier-Transform Infrared Spectroscopy(FT-IR) and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), respectively.
