THE EFFECTIVENESS OF CAVITATION AND CRYOLIPOLYSIS ON LOCALIZED ABDOMINAL FAT

Background and Aim: Nonsurgical and non-invasive devices are used to reduce localized fat and it seems to have a direct impact on the size reduction. The purpose of this study is to compare the effect of Cavitation and Cryolipolisis on localized abdominal fat.Methods: In this research 60 participant with BMI over 30 kg/m2 and with age ranged between 25 and 45 years, were randomly selected and divided into three groups. The first group was given diet (control group). The second group using ultrasound cavitation and diet and the last one using Cryolipolisis and diet. Weight and BMI and waist circumference were measured three times in 2 months. There was no significant difference in weight loss in all 3 groups. However abdominal fat loss was significant in groups using ultrasound cavitation and cryolipolisis but there was no statistically significant difference post-treatment between the cavitation and cryolipolysis groups in waist circumference.Conclusion: Both ultrasound cavitation and cryolipolysis are safe and effective for the reduction of abdominal fat thickness
