چکیده مقاله:

Background and Aim: The aim of this study was to investigate the association between the inflammatory potential of diet with sleep quality. Methods: 166 obese and overweight adult women reported their Food consumption based on food frequency questionnaire (FFQ). Data derived from FFQ were used to account DII scores. Sleep quality was assessed by PSQI which is a self-rating questionnaire with 19 questions. Results: The mean ± SD age of participants was 36.49± 8.38 years and their mean ± SD BMI was 31.04 ± 4.31 kg/m2. We compared scores in tertiles of DII and we didn’t find any significant association between DII and sleep quality (p=0.901) . We repeated the analysis of our data by Empirical Dietary Inflammatory Pattern Score (EDIP score) as another index for inflammation measurement. Also, we didn’t see any significant relationship between EDIP and sleep quality (p=0.829).Conclusion: In the present study We didn’t see any significant relationship between DII also EDIP score with sleep quality.
