خلاصه مقاله:
In this research, we want to response to the following question by considering the current rail and wheel in Iranian railway through the measurement of wear rate between them and also by using of simulation in rail and wheel wear tester. The questions are following:What is the favorite hardness of rail and wheel?What is the ratio between hardness of rail and wheel and wear?What is the effect of increasing rail and wheel hardness in the tribologic manner?In this way, first, we provide samples of rail and wheel substances in shape of rail and wheel disc and then we do heat treatment on them for getting suitable hardness profile and microstructure. The test wear was done by wear tester of rail and wheel discs under the reduced forces(by considering test scale) of normal 897 N and lateral 193 N forces. The curve of rail and wheel disc weight decreasing was achieved by results analysis of three mentioned tests, and by their results analysis, we achieve to applied result as follow:The Iranian main lines railway is 8000 Km which 1500 Km of it is rail grade 700 and the rest of it is rail grade 900A, the wear rate of wheel by using of wheel R7 with mentioned rail(900A) is about 3 and rail is 1.5 times for normal condition. Therefore, all service wheels should be R9, because using of wheels R7 in Iranian railway causes more wear in rails and wheels.
