چکیده
This paper attempted to measure the visual quality of urban spaces in developing several walkability criteria. Accordingly, this study involved five qualitative measures of urban design in terms of physical characteristics, including imageability, enclosure, human scale, transparency and complexity. The main objective of this study was to measure the quality of urban spaces through operational definitions, test their interrelationships with corresponding behaviors to walkability, and finally develop several criteria for walkability.The results of this study demonstrated certain traces of urban design qualities in the review of several successful urban design examples based on the principles of walkability associated with the components of place. Nevertheless, it is difficult to precisely measure the extent to which details have been involved. It is desirable to explore this issue and consider it as a living organism in urban design literature.کلیدواژه ها

COI مخفف عبارت CIVILICA Object Identifier به معنی شناسه سیویلیکا برای اسناد است. COI کدی است که مطابق محل انتشار، به مقالات کنفرانسها و ژورنالهای داخل کشور به هنگام نمایه سازی بر روی پایگاه استنادی سیویلیکا اختصاص می یابد.
کد COI به مفهوم کد ملی اسناد نمایه شده در سیویلیکا است و کدی یکتا و ثابت است و به همین دلیل همواره قابلیت استناد و پیگیری دارد.
