Using Aerobic Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (MBBR) in Treatment of Wastewater

This research aims to treat Wastewater By using moving bed biofilm reactor (MBBR), as has been studied the possibility of a biological treatment (bio) aerobic , it was also been studying possibility of treatment wastewater for different hydraulic retention times of where we got a removal efficiency for COD of 96.4% .The removal efficiency for TDS was 39.45%, while the concentration of NO3- was 17.87mg/l and 4.79mg/l of PO4-3 for hydraulic retention time 6 hours.It has been studied effecting of initial concentration of pollutant in removal efficiency and the removal efficiency of COD was decreased of 96.41% to 87.94% when initial concentration of COD increase of 1950mg/l to 3400 mg/l.The treatment concentration of NO3- increase from 17.87mg/l to 117.42mg/l when initial concentration of NO3- increase from 55.39mg/l to 183.32mg/l and removal efficiency of PO4-3 decrease with increase initial concentration of PO4-3.
