چکیده

Background:cystic hydatid disease is a zoonotic infection of humans caused by larval stage ofeccinococcus granulosus. Hydatidosis can involve almost every organ or tissue in the bodyvia the systemic circulation but hydatid infestation of the orbit comprises for less than 1% ofthe total incidence.Case report:A 13 year old girl referred to our center with large cystic lesion in right eyelid since 8-9month ago without prominent visual loss or pain and remained constant in size for 6month.patient underwent surgery with diagnosis simple epithelial cyst and the histopathology reportconfirmed the hydatid cys diagnosist .systemic evaluation or imaging after surgery show nosystemic involvement in patientConclusion:hydatid cyst is rare in orbit and eyelid presentation is very unusual but it is be considered indifferential diagnosis of orbital cystic lesion in endemic area disease especially in children.
