چکیده مقاله:

Introduction:Blood is a national resource and providing reserves of safe and enough blood is theresponsibility of blood transfusion organization one of the most important reason about lackof blood reserves is the shortage of volunteer and continuous donors that are the safest donorsOne of the major reasons of donors for not donating blood again, is not asking them for redonating,so the purpose of this study is the effects of the calling (phone call and texting) inchanging first-time donors and record donors to continuous donors and also compare thesetwo methods and better attract donors in Ahvaz city.Materials and Methods:In this temporary study 2400 samples were selected from data file of Khuzestan bloodtransfusion organization. In this case 1200 first – time donors were selected that included 300women and 900 men. 900 men were divided to three groups of 300 persons. First groupreceived massages and second group received phone calls and the third group (the witness)received no massages or phone calls. 300 women were divided to three groups of 100 personsfirst group received massages and second group received phone calls and the third group (thewitness) received no massages or phone calls .Also 1200 record donors that had donatedagain since the last 10 months in Ahvaz blood transfusion organization were selected from300 women and 900 men and they were divided like mentioned groups in terms of callingtype and group age then invite them. So after a month of calling, persons investigated interms of their coming back to the centers and demographic data and their coming backs or notwere studied and the results were analyzed by CHI SQUARE test and SPSS software. Results:The donors who turned to continuous donors via calling were 489 persons (30.6%) anddonors without any contacts, 98(12.3%) turned to continuous donors which the differencewas significantly. (p<0.0001) and in due of phone calling 254 persons (31.8%) and in due ofsending massages 235 persons(29.4%) turned to continuous donors the difference was notsignificant. And also record donors had responded (64.74%) to the call method withsignificant difference in compare to first-time donors (35.26%). (p<0.0001) In total in the calleffect there was no significant difference between two age group on turning to continuousdonors.(p= 0.212) but men with 30-45 age group had more percentage in compare to womenin the same age turned to continuous donors via call method and this difference was notsignificant in 18-29 age group.( p=0.220)Discussion:the call can increase continuous donors because calling with donors creates a kind of spiritualcommitment for donating blood in donors. So it is suggested that the first method of donorattract, creation and sending motivational massages and the second method is using phonecall, to consider that there is no statistical difference in effect of massages and phone callssending massages is more economical and can write difference motivational and varioussentences in massage so it is suggested that using message method as a top of donor attract.
