Mast cells could be target of recently developed chemotherapyagents and this causes increasing studies in this subject. Methods: In this study 78 patient with SCC of esophagus in pT=3 selected and MCD countedwith toluidine blue staining and relationship with survival were analyzed. Patient comparedin identical groups of lymph node involvement and post surgery complementary therapy. Results: there was significant decrease in survival in patients with high MCD with Kaplan-Meier Method. P< 0.001 these relation also found in the identical groups of lymph nodeinvolvement and post surgery therapies. Conclusion: The results of current study are indicative of high MCD in invasive edge oftumor causes progression of tumor and decrease survival after surgery.
