چکیده مقاله:

Some minerals in water are essential for human health, but they can endanger human health if be more than necessary limit. Drinking water of most cities of Iran provide from groundwater resources, then checking the groundwater pollution is very important. According to groundwater table is high in Guilan province and water fountains of Pastak in Rasht city is one of drinking water resources then, the objective of this study was to investigate the chemical quality of this water resource. For this purpose, 7 water samples were taken in 2013. Chemical experiments performed included total hardness, carbonate, bicarbonate, calcium, magnesium, Alkalinity, Chloride, sodium, electrical conductivity, TDS, pH, BOD and COD. The results indicated that the chemical parameters studied in this experiment was less than desired limit for drinking and just TDS levels exceeded the maximum acceptable. Also, two important factors of BOD and COD were in desirable level. Finally, the chemical quality of water is good for drinking and water can be used to drink.
