چکیده مقاله:

The aim of the present study is to study the effect of information technology and communication on theeducational and research activities of professor on the Islamic azad university of maraghe. The statistical populationof the study included all 126 teachers of Islamic Azad University of maraghe in east Azerbaijan province. Thenumber of the statistical sample was calculated through Cochrane equation to be 54 and the sample were selected byrandom sampling. The data for the study were collected through two questionnaires. These questionnaires weregiven to the sample after their reliability and validity was evaluated. The data in this study were analyzed throughdescriptive inferential. Thus, classification, abbreviation and interpretation of the data were conducted throughdescriptive statistics. Descriptive statistical methods and statistical techniques is used to test hypothesis of researchand inferential statistics (Spearman correlation for the relationship between variables according to researchhypothesis of research variables and two-variable regression test) were analyzed by SPSS software. In the end, theobtained data from these questionnaires were analyzed by using two-variable linear regression test and the resultsindicated that information technology dimensions have significant effect (p<0.01) on educational and researchactivities of professor on the Islamic azad university of maraghe. According to the results of the research there issignificant difference between the use of information technology and communications (ICT) and educational andresearch performance of professor.
