چکیده

In this project it is assumed that regime transition in a fluidized bed doesn't occur in a distinct gas velocity and fluidization regimes can coexist. According to superficial gas velocity, energy of structures change and it has an effective rule to determine contribution of each fluidization regime. As a result it is trying to determined fluidization regime probabilities experimentally using frequency domain analysis of pressure fluctuation data. Experiments were carried out in a 1 m height and 5 cm inlet diameter glass column. Pressure fluctuation data were sensed using a piezo resistive sensor and gathered in a PC. In order to analyze pressure fluctuation data, to determine energy of different structures and then probability of three fluidization regimes (bubbling, Turbulent and fast fluidization), Fourier transform has been used. Finally probability of mentioned regimes calculated against gas velocity.
