خلاصه مقاله:
Pressure drop in horizontal pipe for air–water two-phase flow was experimentally studied. The test section, with an inside diameter 30 mm and 3 m length was made of plexy-glass to permit visual observations of the flow patterns. Four differential pressure transducers were installed to measure two phase flow pressure drop across the test section. The range of transducers is 0-100 psig. An empirical model has been developed to calculate friction factor in horizontal pipeline. This new model compared to other friction factor models. Model was mach the data with an average error of 6%. The model’s simple structure and level of accuracy is adequate for employing it for analysis and design applications of horizontal industrial installations and gas–liquid transportation in pipelines.
