چکیده

Environmental concerns including air pollution and global warming as well as low operation cost have encouraged power system operators to incorporate more renewable energy sources (RESs) in their utilities. Since most countries are receiving a significant amount of irradiation flux, the incorporation of photovoltaic (PV) solar plants is in receipt of an increasing attention. Therefore, big solar plants with the capacity in the order of several MWs have been installed globally. Despite its economically and environmentally promising aspects, their dynamic behavior is dominated by characteristics and controls of power electronic devices which affects different aspects of apower system, particularly its stability. Thus, analyzing the dynamic performance of power systems including a high penetration of PV generation is vital. In this review paper, the impact of high penetration of PV on rotor angle stabilities is evaluated. Recent works and their different aspects are carefully reviewed and the most important features of each research work are discussed in detail
