چکیده

Project portfolio management is considered as a holistic approach facilitateing the selection of the best projects, and monitor of their performance to make sure from their alignment with strategies. Without implementing such systematic approach, organizations face challenges in directing their projects and programs toward strategies. Regarding a research gap in studying the requirements of main project portfolio management processes. In this paper, the requirements of project portfolio management processes were identified through literature review and interviewing project management experts. At first, project portfolio management models and frameworks were reviewed, and the main processes were extracted. Then inputs and outputs of these processes were identified. The results of this research can provide a theoretical basis for proper executions of project portfolio management processes.
