چکیده

One of the most popular types of tourism is urban tourism. In tourism expert’s opinion, tourism first began and developed with urban tourism. The rapid growth of tourism has become an important economic solidity for certain cities. Because the highest level of maturity of a culture occurs in the city, in other words, in urban spaces. The functional role of urban spaces as the place of public activities and in general terms as the physical reflection of the public domain in the present-day cities, establishes them as the face-to-face relationships, the experience of the common space, human relations with the urban structure and furthermore make the conduct of collective and public activities and of course leisure spending to be convenient and efficient. The purpose of this paper is to provide design suggestions for increasing urban tourism activities within the framework of sustainable urban design. In the Urban Design Document, we will present policies in five metropolitan systems, the policies that can guarantee citizens access to urban spaces and address the opportunities of tourism. After basic studies, analysis in the five layers of the urban form including the system of user and activity, the system of movement and access, the structure of the public spaces, the physical form system and the urban landscape system are examined. Finally, after integrated analysis and according to the results of the studies, the matrix of achieving to the goals and the document of guidance and control of the urban design framework including the plans of the policies in the five systems of urban form are presented
