چکیده مقاله:

The production and utilization of nanomaterials unavoidably lead to their accumulation in the environment, thereby posing a threat to human and environment. These compounds go into the human body, soil, or water. Theinteraction between La2O2CO3 nanoparticles and human serum albumin (HSA) was studied by using spectroscopicmeasurements. The apparent association constant has been deduced (Kapp = 1.1 × 103 M-1) from the absorption spectralchanges of HSA–La2O2CO3 nanoparticles. Addition of La2O2CO3 nanoparticles effectively quenched the intrinsicfluorescence of HSA. The number of binding sites (n = 1.11) and apparent binding constant (K = 3.1 × 104 M-1) werecalculated by relevant fluorescence data. The interaction between La2O2CO3 nanoparticles and HSA occurs throughstatic quenching mechanism. The effect of La2O2CO3 nanoparticles on the conformation of HSA has been studied bymeans of FT-IR and UV–visible absorption spectra.
