چکیده

This paper comprises two main parts. In the first part using newly developed literature, the concepts and issues of sectoral systems of innovations will be reviewed in brief. Related terms will be defined, theoretical bases will be explained, its main building blocks will be introduced and its dynamics and national and regional dimensions will be discussed. The second part will illustrate these concepts with reference to the emergence of fuel cell technologies in Canada. The aim of this paper is to map Canadian fuel cell sectoral system of innovations and to determine some patterns of transition and change in this sector.
