Introduction:breast cancer is one of the most common diseases in women. The aim of this research was to investigate Socio-personal predictors of perceived stress in women under treatment for breast cancer.Method:this descriptive-cross sectional study was performed in 1395 on all women under treatment for breast cancer referring to Ghazi,Alzahra,Valiasr and Shams hospitals in Tabriz. The test sample was consisted of 166which were chosen according to availability method among the women under treatment for breast cancer. Data gathering tool included socio-personal questionnaires and Cohen’s perceived stress scale questionnaires(PSS)in women with breast cancer. Results: According to results of multivariate linear regression test, only the variable of existence of cancer in grade 1 family members was among the predictors of perceived stress and in women whose mothers suffered from breast cancer had lower perceived stress compared to those whose sisters had breast cancer. This variable alone predicted 24.5% of the observed variance in total score of perceived stress.Discussion: according to the obtained results it seems that the support of caregivers and their timely interventions was necessary for relieving stress in patients with breast cancer.
