چکیده مقاله:

Introduction: Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women. Radiation therapy plays an important role in the treatment of this cancer and widely available after the surgery the patient s breast to prevent local recurrence. According to literate radiation therapy after mastectomy decreases breast cancer recurrence to 64%. Create a uniform dose distribution in the total target volume while minimizing dose of organs at risk (OARS) is an important objective of radiation therapy. In this paper, we evaluation of dosereceived by heart and lung in radiotherapy of breast cancer in patients who have undergone mastectomy. Materials and methods: Twelve patients with left sided breast cancer who have undergone mastectomy enrolled in study. Patients were treated with TWB plan. Using the TPS (System Planning Treatment) of Isogray made of French dose-volume histogram of the lungs, heart and chest wall treated were pulled. To evaluate the heart and lung dose and dose parameters include of DMAX، DMean and HI was extracted. Results: DMax, DMean were for heart 50.99Gy, 7.45Gy and for lung 51.86Gy, 14.13Gy, respectively. HI was 1.10.Conclusion: Radiation techniques of tangential fields with a single isocenter method and with filter wedge provides using the appropriate dose homogeneity in the target volume for breast cancer in patients who have undergone mastectomy; also the dose reached to the OARS, such as the heart and ipsilateral lung, the danger does significant patient not threaten
