Technical Performance Evaluation of Water Based, Non-Corrosive and Eco-Friendly Form Release Agent

In the concrete construction industry form oil, also known as release agent, prevents adhesion by providing a physical film or barrier between the forming surface and the concrete, resulting in the facilitated separation of the cured part from the mould as well as easy clean up and elevated efficiency. The present study is directed to performance evaluation of minimum usage of an emulsified form release agent formulation comprising vegetable oil derivatives rather than mineral oils. Current paper also studies formulating release agent with film forming amines which accordingly creates an alkali environment by forming a passive layer and protecting against chemical attacks. Furthermore one aim of current paper is to design an inspection plan in which all the characteristics behavior of release agent are precisely studied.
