چکیده مقاله:

Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs) are some kind of materials with high crystallinity and porosity. One of the sunsets of MOFs is the zeolitic imidazolate frameworks (ZIFs). Among them ZIF-8 because of extra chemical and thermal stability (up to 550 cͦ), high porosity, high surface area (BET-1300-1800 m2/g) is studied. ZIF-8 can be used for wide application such as gas storage, separation, sensing and catalysis. In this paper focused on the synthesis of Mn-ZIF-8 with different quantities of manganese introduced to the structure via post-synthetic modification (PSM). The properties of particles were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR). Results showed Mn-ZIF-8 maintaining the structure and have a high crystallinity in accordance with ZIF-8, so because of adding manganese, active site increased and improved activity for catalytic applications. XRD analysis indicated increasing Mn amount decrease intensity of peaks, it can be concluded if low manganese added to ZIF-8, Mn impregnation on the surface of the framework but much more Mn amount cause metal introduced to the framework of ZIF-8.
