چکیده

In the present research, the scatter-band and reliability analysis has been performed on the high-cycle fatiguebehavior of bovine compact bones. For this objective, experimental data including fatigue lifetimes and stress levels underthree different loading frequencies, have been analyzed for the statistical investigation. Therefore, rotary bending fatiguetesting has been utilized at 10, 20 and 30 Hz of the loading frequency, on about 50 cylindrical specimens from compactbones of the 12-month old bovine. For the scatter-band analysis, three confidence levels (85, 90, and 95%) were selected.Then, lower/upper bands were drawn for various target functions, such fatigue lifetimes and the ratio of fatigue lifetimesto stress levels, versus the loading frequency. For the reliability analysis, three different distribution functions wereconsidered, including normal, smallest extreme value, and extreme maximum value distributions. Then, probabilitydensity and cumulative distribution functions have been obtained based on fatigue lifetimes.
