Wettability behavior studies of ZnO-NiO composite nanostructures fabricating on the stainless steel meshes

چکیده

In the present work, the solution immersion method was used to fabricate ZnO-NiO composite nanostructureson the stainless steel meshes. The effect of initial Zn and Ni concentrations on the wettability properties of the obtainedsamples was investigated. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analysis was employed to study the morphologicalproperties of the prepared samples. The results showed that increasing the initial nickel concentration caused changes inmorphology features of the samples. The SEM results confirmed the formation of sheet-like structures on the stainlesssteel meshes with thickness of approximately 45 nm according to the initial Ni concentration increasing. In addition, thissurface exhibited the high separation efficiency (above 90%) for crude oil-water mixture.
