چکیده

In this article after presentation a brief history of ICTs application a brief history of ICTs application in sustainable development of agriculture and rural in developed and developing countries in this field, comparing ICTs-based education with traditional and normative face –to- face education, new paradigm in Development and its elements, challenges of agricultural extension in recent years and the role of ICTs in resolving them, lessons from field experiences in developing countries in ICTs application for rural development and food security, political recommendations in ICTs application and position of ICTs in development, livelihood information Wheel in rural areas, strategic use of ICTs to improve public information, position of ICTs in world commerce, state some of the most important informational needs of rural people, state elements of system (program) for implementing of ICTs for diffusion and dissemination of information and innovations to rural regions,, various forms of ICTs for development, comparing rich and poor media and full less resources rural regions, challenges of agriculture sector in new millennium, introducing Agricultural Knowledge and Information System (AKIS or NEDAK in Iran) and its elements and approach and mother national project ((TAKFA)) and affairs under these projects, and finally fears, hopes, conclusion and recommendations of ICTs application in sustainable development of agriculture and rural in Iran.
