چکیده مقاله:

Introduction: Fibroadenomatoid hyperplasia is an exceptional benign lesion of the breast share the features of fibroadenoma and fibrocystic change with ill- defined margins. Two kind of fibmadenomatoid hyperplasia were seen, localized or diffuse. Fibroadenomatoid hyperplasia accounts for 5-7% of benign surgical biopsies. Herein we described clinical, mammographic and pathological findings of three cases of fibroadenomatoid hyperplasia.Materials and Methods: For this cross -sectional study data were evaluated from three patients who underwent surgery at Rajaee and Velayat Hospitals between April 2007 and December 2013. The data from these participants were obtained by a check list and review of biopsy specimens. Both descriptive and statistical analysis methods were applied. Results: The median and mean age of the three patients was 37 years (range, 29-46years). All of them were impalpable. Microcalcificatins are found in mammographic and histopathology examination of all patients. Macroscopically, excised lesion was a ill- defined diffuse lesion.Histopathologic evaluation shown prominent hyperplasia of epithelial elements and sclerosis of the interlobular stroma. In all patients, additional pathologic findings for example invasive carcinoma, in situ component, and epithelial hyperplasia were not present. Conclusion: The pattern microcalcifications were seen in the fibroadenomatoid hyperplasia were similar to intraductal microcalcification of ductal carcinoma in situ. Another one fibroadenomatoid hyperplasia was not associated with atypic ductal hyperplasia, ductal carcinoma in situ, or invasive breast carcinoma; it would seem safe to leave asymptomatic fibroadenomatoid hyperplasia in situ in the breast with closed followed up.
